Jamie McCluer was at the Marathon gas station at 1832 Manatee Ave. E. shortly after noon on Tuesday, March 15, 2005 with her boyfriend when two black males approached them while they were in the parking lot and began shooting at them. The shooting allegedly followed a previous exchange of words between the parties. Ms. McCluer was the only person struck by the gunshots. She was tranported to Manatee Hospital where she died. The shooters fled in a 1994, 4-door maroon Buick Roadmaster. One of the two black males has been identified as Terrance L. George of Bradenton, Fl. Although known, he has not been located. The second suspect has not been identified as of the time of this release. Any person with information about the murders can call the Bradenton Police Department 708-6273 with their information. If a person has information and would rather remain anonymous, they may call Crime Stoppers of Manatee County toll free at 1-866-634-TIPS (8477) and be eligible for a reward of up to $1000 if an arrest is made. Temporarily, a supplemental reward of up to an additional $1000 has been offered by Tropicana Products for information that will lead to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the murders. Up to an additional $5000 will be paid to the person responsible for giving information leading to the arrest and conviction by the Gold Star Club of Manatee County.
